August 3/4 Focus: Getting BACKWARDS to school!


Lots of backwards skills this week. Walk backwards to stations if safe, talk about back to school, ask who's in school. Who their teachers are. 





Circuit 1
Equipment Needed
  • tunnel
  • domino and foot
  • spring board
  • cheese
  • bar
  • ​beam
 Spot Station: Beam
Circuit 1 Summary
  • ​​Cartwheel over the domino​​
  • through the tunnel
  • Side handstand on beam SPOTTED
  • Hold scarf between feet and glide swing
  • Hands on hands and walk feet up cheese for handstand (Coach Ella did side handstand entry) Kids can walk feet up cheese
  • Straight, tuck and straddle jumps off spring board....kids will need a run approach, not a two foot jump to board. 
Circuit 2
Equipment Needed
  • Beam & Bouncy ball
  • hula hoops
  • cheese
  • bullseye
  • bar
  • ninja triangles
  • prickly rock to stand on, cones and flowers or similar with bucket to place items in
  • Sliders
Spot Station: Bars
Circuit 2 Summary
  • Balance on prickly rock, one foot for SB and two feet for others, take flowers from cones and put in shark container
  • Bar - swings - SPOT
  • Ninja triangles-get across
  • ​Push up position on sliders and walk
  • Try to bounce ball in hula hoops on sides of beams
  • ​forward roll down cheese
**Always remember to be on outside of the circuit circle so you can keep your eyes on ALL kids in the class. Never turn your back to your class. 

With different shapes of the preschool areas, the order is ok to be changed.
